Gene Matrix is working with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to develop a diagnosis system for new and variant respiratory pathogens.
Gene Matrix was selected as an agency for the'Module-type Respiratory Infectious Pathogen Precision Molecular Diagnosis Technology Development' project as a venture-type specialized material technology development project for the 2016 industrial technology innovation project managed by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Recently, the influx of new and variant respiratory infectious diseases such as avian influenza and moderate respiratory syndrome (MERS) has been a serious threat to public health and the economy. Accordingly, rapid confirmation of various pathogens is emerging as a key factor in proper treatment and early disease control.
Based on the'C-Tag' technology, the original molecular diagnosis technology applied for a patent in April, we have been promoting the development of in vitro diagnostic products that can simultaneously diagnose various respiratory pathogens. We plan to develop real-time multi-gene diagnostic kits and software that can be supplied modularly to meet the needs of end users.
